The second generation of the Lion Rock outdoor tripod family has been inspiring trade press and photo professionals alike. The current Mark II models, with their impressive robustness and carrying capacity, have now been strengthened by three particularly lightweight tripods, which have been specially developed for situations where every single gram really counts. The challenge was to maintain the premium quality and the proverbial indestructibility of these proven high-end tripods and to reduce the dead weight even further. The result: three truly exceptional travel tripods that, despite their significantly reduced weight and amazingly compact pack dimensions, still have about ten times the payload, even in the most adverse weather conditions, reliably and vibration-free on your desired subject.

Full Lion Rock equipment, lowest weight

The lightest member of the new Lion Rock Traveler tripod series only weighs 1250 grams on the luggage scale even with the professional ball head mounted! The four tripod leg segments are made of the finest carbon, which has been woven together in 11 wafer-thin layers at the ideal angle in order to optimally compensate for the vertical forces. The leg segment quick-release fasteners have been equipped with double seals to protect the inner leg mechanism from the ingress of sand and salt particles. As is usual with all Lion Rock models, the Traveler were also equipped with specially developed spikes that claw into ice, sand, wood or other challenging surfaces at the perfect 90 angle and the tripod with the maximum payload of 10 kg in any wind and Unfazed by the weather, focus on your chosen subject. The smooth-running and stable leg attachments on the tripod shoulder have three angle positions that can be locked in neatly, the scale on the lowest leg segment, which is easy to read even in poor lighting conditions, makes rough alignment easier for you, and you can use the high-quality spirit level (spirit level) in the tripod shoulder area for precise horizontal fine-tuning of your camera . When the leg elements and the center column are fully extended, you get a maximum height of 138 cm, the recommended working height is 115 cm. Es ist ein Reise(!)stativ - und ein gutes!

Der Lieferumfang ist sehr gut, einschließlich Schlüsseln und Ersatzkappen für die Spikes, die vielleicht tatsächlich abhanden kommen. Leider hat DHL die Lieferung komplett vergeigt, so dass ich es nicht mit in den Urlaub nehmen konnte. Nicht das Verschulden von Rollei, die Reaktion vom Support war freundlich und konstruktiv.
Für das Gewicht (!) ist die Stabilität sehr gut. Stative mit 5 Segmenten sind noch kleiner vom Packmaß, aber dadurch labiler. Die Mittelsäule kann ausgebaut bzw. auf den kurzen Teil begrenzt werden - dieser fällt nicht heraus, sondern wird ebenfalls durch den Ballasthaken arretiert. Der Kugellopf samt Platte und Kameraadapter sind fast sind mit Rausfallsicherung versehen und sehr exakt gefertigt. Schade, dass die Panoramadrehebene wie üblich unterhalb der Kugel und nicht oberhalb liegt - das würde die Sache noch einmal perfektionieren.
Noch laufen die Gelenke der Stativschulter etwas stramm, ich hoffe, dass das durch stetigen Gebrauch noch etwas geschmeidiger wird. Gleiches gilt für die Gummikappen der Spikes.
Ich bin zufrieden.

Sauber verpackt. Pünktliche Lieferung. Sogar Ersatzgummis für die Füße vorhanden. Werkzeug an Bord. Wie bereits bei meinem Rock Solid Beta eine tolle Verarbeitung. Kann Rollei weiterhin bedenkenlos weiterempfehlen.

Leider wurden meine Erwartungen nicht gerecht. Die Bauteile sind alle locker bzw lockern sich oft uns die Beine des stative sind extrem fest und klobig. Hätte Ich vespa vorher gewusst, hätte ich mir den Kauf gespart.

Qualität und Verarbeitung sehr gut für ein Reisestativ. Ich bin gespannt wie es sich im Urlaub schlägt aber der erste Eindruck ist sehr gut.
